For some reason, besides the whole pastel/neon craze for spring I've found myself buying all things striped. Whether its horizontal stripes or vertical stripes, I've been loving them. Got these shorts as a birthday gift and decided to pair this striped top (with the cutest back ever) with it. Corduroy against neon colors give off a retro-ish vibe, dontcha think? Spring Obessessions

Since the weather here has been kind of bi-polar this past weekend I've been dressing myself in loads of comfy clothes ( leggings and over sized knits). So, instead of an outfit post I've decided to share items that I have been obsessed with lately. Chloe cuffs & bag, Sandals & Envelope Clutch from Zara, Vince Camuto Clutches, and Michael Kors Satchel. The last two being on my "must have in my closet SOON" list because I am in love with them and they're decently priced. When I saw the MK Hamilton Satchel this past weekend I almost couldn't put it down. One of his classic pieces with the signature lock, its elegant enough for a smancy dinner and casual enough to go and grab coffee with some gal friends. Have a great week guys!

Like I'm a Domino

I've been basically hooked on Jessie J's"Domino" for the past few days. Then again, it fully suits the Spring awakening. A laid back look and more neutral peachy colors here paired with this gorgeous cuff that I received as a Christmas present. Definitely a statement piece that will add fun and pop to any bore-rang outfit. Also scored this cardigan for $5 and took this vintage Louie that my momma gave me out for a spin. Hint of Pleasantville

Here is another spring get up I threw together to welcome the sun once again. The weekend winds were crazy! This is kind of a soft retro-like look, something gals would wear on the daily if "pleasantville" really existed. I happened to try "The Stinking Rose" restaurant this weekend in Beverly Hills. The prime rib was DELICIOUS, however I'm afraid I can't say the same about their garlic ice-cream. You heard it right! Tasted like chips...in ice-cream form. Highly recommended restaurant with great ambiance and deco though. Also, this is le boyf's dog Yuki. This young lad scored about 200 notes on Tumblr last night. Who could resist right?

Spring Fling

So lucky I got to bust this spring outfit out before the weekend started. Despite this gorgeous day, its going to be raining all weekend. Loved color blocking the minted blue with these gorgeous plum suede shorts. Yes, I said SUEDE! So soft! I also picked up these bed side readings for my own enjoyment. Derek Blasberg, author of the "Classy" books, is absolutely hilarious in which he gives classy advice to the modern lady. Quoting infamous fashion designers and icons, his books are both fun and inspiring. Although its not exactly brilliant literature, I find his sarcasm entertaining .... its a guilty pleasure heh. Happy weekend!

Little Black Dress

My favorite thing about black dresses is the fact that its so versatile. Like this "Tribal Jersey Dress" sent over to me by the wonderful people of Sugarlips, you could either dress it up or dress is down. In this case, I decided to dress is down to compliment the surprisingly chilly weather today by throwing on my favorite winter printed granny sweater. Trying to squeeze in a little bit more of Winter before Spring hits us. Loving the pleated detail on this dress and its tribal straps. Throw on a pair of heels and you've got yourself a simple elegant evening attire. To see how I did it, click here!

Body Language Obsessions

Another great warm week here in California. Was able to wear this outfit with great comfort even though as you can tell it was a bit windy. These Sandals from Zara have also been really hot in the fashion blogosphere. Loving all the fantastic ways different bloggers are styling them! Any who, this was just a quick Friday update.

Mustard Seed: A Birthday Weekend

Surprisingly this outfit was my only attempt to dress up this weekend. It was an outfit I wore to my birthday lunch with some gal friends and their significant others. This blouse is easily my new favorite at the moment. Loving the scalloped detail on the collar and edges. I've been also taking my Zara Sandals out and about quite often. Other than that, my weekend get up consisted of casual tees and jeans because the boyf came for the weekend and I decided I wanted to be more outdoorsy. He had actually arrived earlier than expected to surprise me, so aside from horseback riding at Sunset Ranch and exploring the city, we indulged ourselves at more local spots such as Boiling Point, Umami Burger, and Ichima Sushi. Umami had their special "cheesy tator tots" and goodness, it was heavenly! Did I mention we also basically drowned ourselves in Boba (Bubble Tea) all weekend?

I had a fantastic birthday, and I hope you guys enjoyed these batch of pictures that basically summed up my festivities. Thank you guys so much for the birthday wishes!

Queen of Spades

The moment I saw this top at Forever 21, I knew I had to snag it for my closet. I'm still not over my chiffon phase and the peter pan collar sold it for me. Its definitely a cute spring top with the colorful little spades. Thing I love about tops that have little pops of color is the fact that you can play with so many different colored bottoms that will compliment it. For this outfit, I decided to go with a pair of forest green bottoms I purchased from Zara when they had their huge holiday sale. This gold cuff from H&M has also become a favorite of mine. Other than studs, I'm a sucker of chains.
