Spring Time Calls For Sandal Time

Spring Time Sandals

With Spring approaching, we can finally trade in our winter boots for a vibrant pair of Spring Sandals. Recently, I've been on a scout for some comfortable woman's sandals  with the perfect spring color. We're talking about neon brights and pastels! Being the petite girl that I am, I've also been eying wedges because they give me height and definitely provide more support for the soles of my feet (especially if I’m planning on casually walking around in them all day). Above are just some that I think would be perfect for the up and coming spring season. My favorite pair out of these sandals would have to be the top center Steve Madden Wedges. Not only are they a gorgeous coral color, the crochet knit detailing is just amazing. I can see myself pairing it with a pair of light destroyed denim shorts and a breezy chiffon top on a regular basis. My next favorite would definitely be the pair of G for Guess Wedges on the lower right.  Its nude color would probably go well with all the Spring outfits you could possibly think of. For those of you who don't already know, nude heels also have the tendency to elongate your legs. Like the Madden Sandals, the Guess ones also have weaved detailing on the wedge.  Which in my opinion, give off the perfect spring vibe. Looks like I’ll be having new additions to my shoe closet!

So let me know, what are you forecasting as your Spring footwear essential and which of these babies are your favorite?

On Everlane

Outfit: (Blazer & Chiffon Top - Forever 21 | Bag - H&M | Sandals - Zara)

This weekend, I was invited by the kind people of Everlane for a glimpse of their newest photo shoot and a preview of their products. Upon walking in, we were greeted by a sea of books with a contemporary ambiance. Not to mention, a cute station of snacks and champagne. Everlane seeks to provide high quality basics without the high quality price. As you can tell, their products are simple in design, but their primary focus is on the material and cutting of each piece. Their basic tee was one of my favs. Not only was it ultra soft, but from above you can just tell it'll drape over your body and hang at all the right places. I also had the honor of meeting other LA based bloggers; Melanie, Judy, Hallie , & Zoe who are all total sweethearts. I'd like to extend my thanks to the Everlane team for allowing me to attend this fun event and for being so incredibly welcoming.

My Sweet Escape

(Skirt & Kimono Cardigan - Forever 21 | Necklace Courtesy of Stella & Dot)

Wow! Sort of a lengthy post, but I couldn't help it. The weather in California was just amazing enough for me to pull out my pleated skirt and sleeveless chiffon top. Towards the end of the night, all I threw on was this cardigan from Forever 21. I love how it just drapes on your shoulders and hangs like a kimono. Coincidentally, a friend and I decided to go for some rotating sushi that night. I was definitely craving something on the lighter side, and fresh salmon sashimi definitely hit the spot. Not to mention seared white tuna (one of my favorites).

I'm so glad its Friday. I must say this week has been pretty stressful at work but I've got an exciting event to attend to this weekend and I can't wait to document it for all of you! Hope ya'll have an exciting weekend!

My Twenty Something Birthday Wish List

My Birthday Wish List

Next week, I'll be one year older! I guess its true when they say that when you turn twenty something, all the other twenty somethings just remind of you how quickly you're turning into an old fart. Been busy planning the birthday festivities these past few days. Thank goodness for social media and the ability to send mass invites. Here's my birthday wish list. I'm not the type to rely or expect others to spoil me, so I already took the initiative and snagged the first pair of Zara sandals online yesterday as a happy early birthday gift to myself. Also been scouting for deals on the Canon XSI (UPDATE: JUST GOT IT!YAY!). Ever since my friend Mint purchased her pair of Dynamites from Steve Madden, I've been drooling over all her posts that feature them. So I decided to add a pair of taupe ones onto my list along with a pair of Zara wedges which I am predicting will also be a soon to be present to myself! With Spring coming our way, I have also been lusting for pastel and neon bright polishes from Butter and OPI. Lastly, this Gorgeous Moisturizer from Lush has been on my list of wants ever since I received a sample of it on my first trip to Chicago.  Absolutely love how it makes my skin feel the next day, however not exactly liking the price ($90) for it. We'll see how much I'll feel like spoiling myself this birthday!

Dotted Tulips

(Top/Heels/Accessories - F21 | Tulip Skirt - 20/20 Ave | Hat - H&M)

Thank goodness its Friday! Hope everyone is as glad as I am for the weekend. On to my outfit, I am completely in love with this tulip skirt purchased from 20/20 Ave. Although I did encounter some issues receiving my order, they were nothing but nice and helpful about it. This skirt is the perfect length, given that I am pretty tiny. Not to mention the great overlap detailing that makes it a "tulip". These wine colored pumps with ankle straps also never fail me. Ever since I got bangs, I also realized I've been throwing on a hat with all my outfits.

Here's another song currently on my top 20's on my iTunes <3

Ripped for Valentines

(Jumper - Romwe | Hat - H&M | Leggings - GoJane | Boots - Zara | "Rebel Pendant Necklace" Courtesy of Stella & Dot)

First off, HAPPY VALENTINES DAY EVERYONE! This was actually the outfit that I sported to the aquarium this past weekend. I absolutely love this jumper from Romwe. Not only the fake ripped detailing but it strangely feels like a home knit sweater. Did it protect me from the ocean breeze? Maybe not so much but luckily we weren't looking at extremely harsh winds along the coast. The ripped tights have been a part of my closet for about a year now. Purchased them from GoJane and they've been a staple in my leggings drawer since. I've gotten tons of complements on these pre-slashed mesh under layer babies.

On another note, for those of you who don't already know Mint Green is one of my best gal friends and also my ultimate blogging buddy. She recently ventured to teach in Korea. My gal friends and I threw together an "away-from-home" basket and said our "see ya laters" as she left the country over the weekend. If you're reading this, you are missed!

And again, here is one of my favorite songs at the moment because IU has such a sweet voice.

Aquarium Day

Location: Aquarium of the Pacific, Long Beach CA.

I absolutely love aquariums. Especially ones that allow you to touch the sea animals! This weekend, I went on a little last minute trip to the aquarium with a few of my gal friends. Not only was it nice to see all the awesome coral and water life creatures, but being able to spend some quality girl time (that does not involve late night outings in the city) definitely felt great. Even though we were all in our twenty somethings, you could imagine the youthful glow in our faces when we found out we got to touch JELLY FISHES! We ran around like children, touching things, gazing at octopus and various tropical fishes, and getting our booklets stamped at various stations. At the shark lagoon, we got to pet sharks and sting rays. Ending the night with a walk on the pier (which was awkwardly romantic) we joked about how it felt like we were on a Pre-Valentines date and treated ourselves to some funnel cake.

Sorry for the lack of quality in the pictures, it was definitely convenient to prance around in the dark rooms with my little point and shoot. Oh, if you guys haven't noticed I also decided to sport some bangs hehe.

Hope everyone had a great weekend!

Like a Dream

( Shorts & Top & Heels - Forever 21 , Bracelet & Necklace Courtesy of Stella & Dot)

This outfit was sort of thrown together without much thought. A basic spring outfit of mine you could say with my favorite chiffon blouse and shorts (I still love anything chiffon). Picked up these shorts last week at Forever 21 and loved how they hugged my waist like high waisted shorts.

Hope everyone had a great weekend. As for myself, been feeling under the weather lately. Seems like California is a little confused as to what it wants to do. One day it'll be a gorgeous day with highs of 70 degrees and today the weather forecast says it'll be raining with a high of 73. I've also been wearing this "Rebel Pendant" necklace and "Sole" bracelet on the daily.

Recently, I've been finding it hard to think of post titles. Resolution; naming it after the most played song on my itunes at the moment. Given that, you guys know I love sharing lovely tunes with you guys. Here is "Like A Dream" by Day Trip!

DIRTY LOVE

(Top & Shorts - 20/20 Ave | Boots - Zara | Velvet Corset - F21 | Necklace Courtesy of  Stella & Dot)

I find myself already starting to fill my closet with springs goods. Always eye balling the neon brights and pastels when I shop.  My top and shorts were purchased from 20/20 Ave and to my surprise, I received my order the next day (talk about ultra fast shipping)! I tend to love tops with pockets on them, and the fact that this tank top was neon cherry red made it all the better for my spring closet. I've also been getting tons of compliments on this "Rebel Pendant Necklace" which was one of the pieces a received at the bloggers event I mention in my previous post. Love how its super simple but also has great weight to it.

In addition, my neon craze has probably come early this year because of this video. Not only do I love how bright her wardrobes are, her song also makes me want to wreak a little havoc around town.

HAPPY FRY-DAY!
